| Let's see, 19+ year old plastic/rubber in high temp zone. Japanese...very good engineers using questionable grade materials (try to keep a shine on Japanese aluminium compared to British). Atmosphere of harness full of NoX ane Ozone along with high heat. Harness easy to replace at engine change and impossible without pulling engine. Also good time to use connector lubricant to prevent (almost certain) future hard to find and fix electrical problems. Your not going to change this old piece of plastic? It's kind of like not replacing rubber valve stems when you replace tires. Sometimes it ain't cheap to be cheap.
